As daily newspapers try to combat the erosion of their readership, many are beefing-up their online presence.  And a lot of their online sites have excellent multimedia resources that are accessible to Intermediate English Language Learners.  I’ve posted about some of their individual online activities in the past, but thought today I would highlight which papers I think have the best resources for English Language Learners.

In this post I’ll be sharing links that go directly to the paper’s multimedia page.  I’ll continue to post links to individual presentations that I find useful, but you might find others that are appropriate for particular lessons.

The ones I like include The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune, and The San Francisco Chronicle.  I need to include our local paper, The Sacramento Bee, but it certainly doesn’t have the breadth of the others.

Many, if not most, good-sized dailies are developing similar online (and often interactive) slideshows and activities on the web.  If you haven’t already, I’d recommend you check-out your local paper’s website.

When I have time, I’ll post these links on my Teacher’s page.
