I’ve posted about the online tool Vyew in the past.
When I originally wrote about it, I said it was an impressive application, but I thought it was too complicated to use with English Language Learners. I didn’t add it to The Best Online Tools For Real-Time Collaboration.
Webware just wrote about Vyew’s just-released upgrade, and it’s definitely worth reading the post about it.
It’s pretty darn impressive. I still think it’s a little too complicated for classroom use with students, but I certainly would use it if and when I have to do any real-time collaboration with colleagues.
Thanks, Larry. Are you referring to the article on Webware? http://news.cnet.com/8301-17939_109-10042910-2.html?tag=mncol;title
Vyew can also be used for always-on (asynchronous) collaboration in addition to real-time collaboration. This means that you can leave a VyewBook open for access by your participants at their convenience. For example, you can post an assignment in a VyewBook and then students can access and work on it and instructors can grade it any time.
