The National Constitution Center has just announced their Ad-O-Matic. It lets you upload your own photo and create a television commercial for you running for president.
Users choose their political party and three issues that are important to them in the process of making the ad.
This is a lot of fun, but incredibly politically loaded. I can imagine using this with an advanced class to figure out what the ‘real’ message is behind the mocking stance of the ad’s take on the issues. But then again, perhaps this is just all ‘fun’. Hard not to feel like their is a political message behind this fun little tool.
Ken,
Your point is well-taken. I have to admit that I didn’t have the time to take the application all the way through to its conclusion before I posted about, since the Constitution Center’s stuff is usually pretty good.

Hi Larry,
It’s definitely very good in terms of technological fun. And it has a definite viewpoint. As I said in the post, it might be a lot of fun to deconstruct this with a class – and then possibly have a debate on the merits.
I’m a great fan of your site. I think you do a great job of pointing out all the wonderful resources and suggesting ways to take advantage of them.
