I’ve added two new links to my website about the sinking of The Titanic. They’re both accessible to Intermediate English Language Learners.
One is the Titanic Interactive from the History Channel. The other is called Titanic In Belfast. They have lots of audio and visual support, and the English is fairly simple.
You’ll find both on my website under The World In The Twentieth Century.
We spent spring semester studying the Titanic. We used the original databases to take a look at what really went on. We actaully were able to do a bit of original research. When we couldn’t find a graph of where the crew originated from, several of the kids did the research and made the graph!!
Here’s the site http://connections.smsd.org/titanic We also did our first podcasts (see biographical sketches)
