Qitera is a neat new bookmarking tool that I’m adding to The Best Social Bookmarking Applications For English Language Learners and Other Students.

You can easily add thumbnail images (and their links) to your collection of sites.  They can be categorized, you can easily add comments, and they can be displayed in a pretty cool-looking carousel-like slideshow.  Unlike some of the other sites on that “The Best…” list, you can also collect and categorize photos by just using their web address.  Plus, even though you can download a bookmarklet, you can also manually insert the url addresses, which works great for school systems where any kinds of downloads are prohibited.

I explain more in The Best Social Bookmarking Applications For English Language Learners & Other Students about  how I use these kinds of web tools for higher-thinking exercises related to categorization.

Thanks to Read Write Web for the tip.  You can do more with Qitera than what I’ve shared in this post and Read Write Web explains it more extensively.
