“Life Returns To Ground Zero” is a Wall Street Journal slideshow on the planting of trees at the former site of the World Trade Center.
I’m adding it to The Best Sites To Help Teach About 9/11.

“Life Returns to Ground Zero” is a very good site to add to your list of Best Sites to Help Teach About 9/11. I thought the entire concept of planting trees to represent those who died on 9/11 was a great symbolic idea. Students learning about this project will discover the true meaning of a memorial and the impact the tragedy had on this country. A tree could live for hundreds of years and the trees planted here represent the victims. That is to say, their memory will never be forgotten and will live on forever in this living memorial.
