Cinco de Mayo, May 5th, commemorates the defeat of the French by the Mexican Army in 1862. It’s a national holiday in Mexico, and is celebrated by Mexican immigrants and Mexican-Americans in the United States.
I’ve just updated The Best Sites For Teaching & Learning About Cinco de Mayo.
Hi Mr. Ferlazzo,
I teach English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) to K-5 grade students in Georgia. In my spare time (which isn’t often), I create e~books for my ESL students. IF you find some spare time, I would be honored it you would check out the resources on the site and give feedback for improving them.
It isn’t often that I find a real live person with whom to converse about creating ESL resources for students.
I LOVE your blog. PLEASE continue to share the numerous resources. YOUR SITE ROCKS!
