Carl Wienman won the Nobel Prize for physics, and is also outspoken in his support of cooperative group learning in the college classroom. Many of those same ideas can be applied to the K-12 school, and to other subjects, too.

Last month, he spoke at a conference on increasing the effectiveness of science instruction, and it’s worth reading a report on what he said. Thanks to Annie Murphy Paul for the tip.
