Vocre is the latest in an increasing number of SmartPhone translating apps that can help you communicate in another language. It can come in handy if you just have to communicate something to an ELL student in their native language, or if you need to communicate to family members.
I’m adding it to The Best Sites For Beginning iPhone Users Like Me.
Here’s a video about it focusing on its business applications:
Hi! My name is Lindsay Ann Parvin. I am a teacher that is currently renewing my certificate at the University of South Alabama. I am taking EDM310, and I have been assigned to study your blog this week. I plan to start graduate school in the Fall.
I really enjoyed your post about this new app for a Smart Phone. I taught Secondary Education/ Social Science. I had several students every semester that were ESL students. I could have really benefited from this application with the student and the students’ parents. The video was great too – I loved the romantic humor at the end.
I will recommend this application to all my teacher friends and pretty much everyone else in my phone.
Thanks!

Hi Larry,
Thanks for the great coverage of our app. We’ve had a surprising number of requests come from teachers and administrators who need help communicating with their pupils. Originally from the Sacramento area, and coming from a educator family, I am very fortunate to be able to give something back.
Cheers!
Andrew
