Today’s ASCD SmartBrief included an article about teachers in Georgia using a method they called Instructional Conversations, particularly though not exclusively with English Language Learners.

I’ve never heard of it before, which is probably a commentary on my ignorance but, from what I gathered in the article and in a quick search of the Web, I can’t really see how it’s much different from various cooperative learning models now in use.

However, I’d love to hear from anybody who’s actually using it in their classroom and who can explain more clearly to me….
