Social and emotional learning gaining new focus under Common Core is a very useful and interesting article published by Ed Source.
I’m adding it to:
The Best Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Resources
The Most Useful Resources For Implementing Common Core
I’m really glad I came across your blog Larry. Your Resource pages have a lot of what I’ve been looking for!
That article really was one of the best I’ve ever read about SEL.
Other’s I’ve come across are:
http://www.edutopia.org/social-emotional-learning
http://life.lfny.org/2013/05/10/a-conversation-about-social-emotional-learning/
I also saw your other post with the Infographic: “Bullying: What You Need To Know.” It’s really nice to see that under the Common Core, more focus is being given to Social Emotional Learning.
In my school we’ve integrated Zaner-Bloser’s Social-Emotional Learning Program, Voices Literature & Writing http://www.zaner-bloser.com/reading/voices-literature-writing into our language arts studies. It’s also meant to complement existing character-education and anti-bullying initiatives in schools.
Thanks again, your blog is now bookmarked!
