The Atlantic has just published some great pictures at “A Visual History of Kids Being Unimpressed with President Obama.”
They’d be perfect to use with English Language Learners to have them talk and write about them.
I’m adding this resource to The Best Ways To Use Photos In Lessons.
I’d be happier if they showed some of the other photos of Obama with kids. Point of the whole truth collection would be that Obama is a favorite of kids. He knows how to play with them, and they love him for it.
And they feel comfortable enough around him that they continue to be kids — gloriously, wonderfully — while he talks with adults.
I’ll wager there are two or five or ten photos of kids loving on Obama for every photo of kids ignoring him.
