Alexander Russo shared a Mother Jones article, Thousands of Central American Kids Are Back at Our Border. Here’s What You Need to Know, which I think is the best article I’ve seen about the refugee crisis at our southern border.

Here’s an excerpt:

In-October-and-November

Based on what my students who came in last year’s surge tell me, it’s perfectly understandable to see these numbers of children coming here. It sounds like a horrible situation in Central America.

I’ve previously-written in Education Week about the lessons that I, and perhaps and other ELL teachers, have learned in teaching these new refugees. I can only hope these experiences will make us better teachers to this new wave.

I’m adding this info to The Best Resources For Learning About The Children Refugee Crisis At The U.S. Southern Border.
