These quotes certainly show the teacher meeting the student much more than half-way. Is the student expected to lift a finger in this regard? Or not? (Re: George W. Bush’s “bigotry of low expectations”) What’s going to happen when s/he reaches adulthood? Ought judges adopt the same view/modus operandi in the courtroom?
