Students not having access to the Internet at home to do their homework is the topic of my latest NY Times interactive for English Language Learners. Readers have to put a series of paragraphs into the correct order and choose the most appropriate last passage, in addition to writing their own opinion.
I’m adding it to All My NY Times Posts For English Language Learners – Linked With Descriptions.
My class is one of 3 classes piloting 24/7 ipad take home at my school. We’ve been in it for a week. Those without Internet access at home are having difficulty and they don’t want to speak up. It makes it obvious to everyone that their family cannot afford Internet. It’s a challenge to close the divide of digital access.
If you’d like to write a guest post about those challenges sometime, I’d love to publish it!
