In addition to continuing my weekly New York Times posts for English Language Learners; my weekly (and often twice-weekly) educator advice columns for Education Week Teacher; and my bi-monthly posts for the British Council, I have three major writing projects planned to take place over the next two years.

Of course, life can interrupt the best-laid plans, but here is what it looks like now:

This summer, as I’ve mentioned before, I’ll be completely revising the curriculum I use in my IB Theory of Knowledge classes and making it publicly available for free. I will be teaching three TOK classes next year instead of my usual two, and I think after six years it’s time to do a major revision. If you teach TOK, and have some resources you’d like to share, I’m happy to include them when I make mine public.

Also this summer, Katie Hull-Sypnieski and I are planning to begin preliminary work on the third book in our popular series on teaching English Language Learners. That manuscript should be completed in August, 2017.

Somewhat simultaneously with the first two projects, but mostly in earnest after August, 2017, I’ll be developing a fourth book following-up on my “student motivation trilogy.” That manuscript should be done in August, 2018.

So I have my work cut out for me!

By the way, as a reminder, you can find links to the excerpts and free resources that are available from all my books here (every student hand-out from all of them can be downloaded for free).
