Thanks to Shreec on Twitter, I learned about this USA Today article headlined Teacher unions smarting after many members vote for Trump.

Here’s an excerpt:

about-one-in-five

Just as all of us progressives have to think long and hard about how and why Trump won (without falling into the historical pattern of a circular firing squad), we teachers need to be particularly thoughtful about the implications of this kind of teacher vote.

I’ve read lots of post-election analyses, but I’m still not ready to reach any firm conclusions about what those implications are….What are your thoughts?

I wasn’t able to find similar statistics on how teachers voted in the previous two presidential elections, and I wonder how this year compares with them. Does anyone have those stats?
