“What A Wonderful World” is a popular song and music video used in English Language Learner classrooms around the world.
In fact, I have a The Best Music Videos Of “What A Wonderful World” list.
My friend Faith Whitmore shared this new one on Facebook. It’s particularly good for ELLs because the words are spoken, so the lyrics are more easily understood than if they were sung:
Dear Larry,
I am teaching in an international school in Dili, East Timor, where my secondary students are predominantly EAL. Most of them have trouble with using articles (since their first languages do not have any). I’ve tried to teach them, but it is a long slow process. We are writing our research papers and I have them use the grammar and spelling checkers on their programs. I have also checked for other online resources, but nothing seems to pick up on missing or incorrect articles. Do you know of anything? Thanks,
I’m not aware of ones that pick up articles in particular. You might try this: http://larryferlazzo.edublogs.org/2016/11/22/i-cant-decide-if-write-improve-is-the-best-or-worst-site-to-help-ells-improve-their-writing/
