I always publish a year-end list of the best books readers of this blog have read during the previous twelve months.
I thought I’d try an additional project now and invite readers to share the books they plan on reading this summer, along with a one sentence description of each one they list.
Leave a comment or send a tweet by June 23rd, and I’ll publish them all on the 24th.
Looking forward to learning about some new books I should read!
So many books!
“Untangled: Guiding Teenage Girls Through the Seven Transitions Into Adulthood” by Lisa Damour, Ph.D. As with other books here, the subtitle really tells the story!
“Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People About Race” by Reni Eddo-Lodge. An exploration of race and how to fight racism.
“Resilience Begins with Beliefs: Building on Student Strengths for Success in School” by Sara Truebridge.
“Beyond the Rainbow: Personal Stories and Practical Strategies to Help your Business & Workplace Connect with the LGBTQ Market” by Jenn T. Grace.
“Being Jazz” by Jazz Jennings. A memoir by a transgender teenager.
“The Memory of Things” by Gae Polisner. Brilliant YA writing, set in the time of 9/11.
Blindspot: Hidden Biases of Good People: Mahzarin R. Banaji
