I’m planning to have students in my Long-Term English Language Learner support class to write their math autobiographies, and put a out a call on Twitter for suggested resources.
Feel free to add more in the comments. I’ll add additional tweets as they come in.
I’m adding this resource to The Best Resources For Writing In Math Class.
Anyone have suggestions for models/ resources to help ELLs write about their previous experiences in math, sort of a math autobiography?

Here is a folder from @blaw0013 on math autobiographies. I have saved this material and use it each year. https://t.co/AhF4wps3Tn

Teaching Mathematics to English Language Learners by Gladis Kersaint, Denisse R. Thompson, Mariana would be a good resource to check out. The preview of the book found on Google Books https://t.co/TsateTsr9o even has some example interview questions for a math autobiography! pic.twitter.com/RweW41X4n3

Sorry had a typo with no edit button. Here goes again. This survey is given to my math students at the beginning of my math year. Can this help the brainstorming process if you edit it a bit? https://t.co/d7ALzVaBdo

Kendall Haven and Joy Hakim have books with stories of scientists. Could be useful to model as a story.
