A big new study that came out last week found that a highly-touted “personalized learning” tech program wasn’t very effective at teaching math.
Of course, this doesn’t mean that “personalized learning” doesn’t work.
It could just mean that “personalized learning” does work – the old-fashioned way. In other words, getting to know students, having small class sizes, creating lessons that are relevant to student lives, etc. might be a better way to “personalize” learning.
