Native-speakerism is the term used to describe the challenges that teachers who are “non-native” speakers of English often experience.

English teacher Jenny Vo (who is a “non-native” English speaker) is writing a chapter on the topic for the second edition of our ESL/ELL Teacher’s Survival Guide, and is interested in hearing about your experiences and advice.

We did think that a specific chapter on “native-speakerism” would be helpful, and Jenny was willing to tackle it.
