When teaching English to older students, they sometimes – and understandably – get tired of reading books designed for much younger children.

One way I deal with this challenge is by find more age-appropriate books in English that also have editions in their home languages, so they can read the books side-by-side (see USING “THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK” WITH ELL NEWCOMERS!).

Fortunately, there are now online tools with similar features, though their content can be a little limited.
