A4: Home visits are a great way to engage with parents of ELLs and parents of all students. The @PTHVP is a great resource. If we don’t speak the home language of a parent, a staffperson who does can accompany us. The district provides stipends to visitors. #ELMagChat

A3: Plenty of research documents that ELLs are more likely to have a growth mindset and tend to be particularly creative because of their experiences. Encouraging them to model these strengths are great opportunities to highlight assets instead of “deficits” #ELMagChat
