What Can Be Done to Address Learning Losses Due to School Closures? is from USC. It, and other researchers, recommend a nation-wide tutoring “corps” to help students make up lost ground in the fall. I think it’s a great idea. However, I also recognize that there is zero chance of it happening. Schools would be thrilled not to get their budgets cut, though that is going to happen. Sadly, there’s no way the federal government is going to fund a massive new program.
