I have a number of regular weekly features (see HERE IS A LIST (WITH LINKS) OF ALL MY REGULAR WEEKLY FEATURES).

This is a relatively new addition to that list.

Some of these resources will be added to The Best Advice On Teaching K-12 Online (If We Have To Because Of The Coronavirus) – Please Make More Suggestions! and the best will go to The “Best Of The Best” Resources To Support Teachers Dealing With School Closures.

Here are this week’s choices:

After Reopening Schools, Israel Orders Them To Shut If COVID-19 Cases Are Discovered is from NPR. I’m adding it to THE BEST POSTS PREDICTING WHAT SCHOOLS WILL LOOK LIKE IN THE FALL.

Reopening schools amid the COVID-19 pandemic: Your questions, our answers is from Brookings. I’m adding it to the same list.

What Can Be Done to Address Learning Losses Due to School Closures? is from USC. It, and other researchers, recommend a nation-wide tutoring “corps” to help students make up lost ground in the fall. I think it’s a great idea. However, I also recognize that there is zero chance of it happening. Schools would be thrilled not to get their budgets cut, though that is going to happen. Sadly, there’s no way the federal government is going to fund a massive new program.

With masks and social distance, these special ed students have already returned to school is from Ed Source.
