Depressing Statistics Of The Day: Many Of Our Students’ Families Are In Economic Trouble

 

Just as I was reading The Washington Post article headlined Nearly 8 million Americans have fallen into poverty since the summer, this next report came out:

BREAKING: 1.4 million Americans filed *new* unemployment claims last week — the highest level in weeks.

Rising layoffs are an alarm bell that Congress needs to pass more stimulus.
