The American Rescue Plan has been passed, and Congress approves massive infusion of funds for schools, and high-poverty districts will get the most, a new article in Chalkbeat, provides the best narrative description of what it means for schools.
The Congressional Research Service has provided a detailed report about how much is going to each state for what exact education purpose.
I know quite a few districts (including ours) – to the detriment of students, their families, and their teachers – minimized educator involvement in remote teaching and school reopening plans.
I hope they learned from their mistakes and will now include us teachers in deciding how best to use these new resources.
However, I’m not holding my breath….
