Here are this week’s choices:

If you missed hearing our local public radio station visit my Zoom ELL class, national NPR picked the story up this week:

Civics for All: Empowering English and Multilingual Learners is from iCivics, and has some quotes from me in it.  I’m adding it to The Best Websites For Learning About Civic Participation & Citizenship.

ELT Buzz has a wonderful collection of videos for ELLs. You need to join to get their related teaching materials, and I think it’s well worth it. I’m adding it to The Best Popular Movies/TV Shows For ESL/EFL.

Penguin Parallel Text Series is a book series with…parallel text (each page has the content written in two languages). I’m adding it to THE BEST TOOLS THAT SHOW “PARALLEL TEXT” – SAME SENTENCES TRANSLATED INTO DIFFERENT LANGUAGES SIDE-BY-SIDE.

To Google Translate or Not Google Translate? is from New Jersey TESOL. You might also be interested in THE PROMISE & PERIL OF USING GOOGLE TRANSLATE IN THE ELL CLASSROOM – SHARE YOUR IDEAS.

What I Wish I’d Known about Co-Teaching ELs is by Tan Huynh. I’m adding it to The Best Resources On Co-Teaching With ELLs – Please Suggest More.

Here’s a new Simon’s Cat video.  They are also good ones to show to ELLs, and then have them talk and write about what they saw:
