To no teacher’s surprise, new research finds multiple benefits to longer lunch periods for students.

And we’re not talking here about needing a super-long time, either.

Researchers found that students needed at least twenty minutes of “seated lunch time.”  I’m assuming that means what it says, which suggests you need to add the minutes it takes to get from class to the lunchroom, and the minutes waiting in line to pick up food, and the minutes it takes to get their afternoon class.

I’m guessing that’s all at least thirty-five minutes.  What do you think?
