I’m a big fan of both the Picture Word Inductive Model and of Elisabeth Johnson, co-author of The Social Studies Teacher’s Toolbox.
This week, she shared with me a model of a final she had her ELL students do in her History class.
Here’s how she described in:
For my final, I had students create their own Picture Word Inductive Model. I gave them each an image from a US History topic we covered and created a template for them to use to create words for the image, sentences, categories, etc. It worked really well for all the different levels. Highly recommend.
Here’s a model, which she gave me permission to share.
I’m adding this info to The Best Ways To Use Photos In Lessons.
