Maybe I’ve been living under a rock, but I had never heard of “generative learning” until today.

I’m still not quite sure how different it might be from the resources and ideas at The Best Research Demonstrating That Lectures Are Not The Best Instructional Strategy and at The Best Posts On Helping Students Teach Their Classmates — Help Me Find More, but I’m still trying to figure it out.

Here are some resources I’m reviewing, which I’m not sure are the “best”:

Improving learning-by-teaching without audience interaction as a generative learning activity by minimizing the social presence of the audience.

Eight ways to promote generative learning. is an academic paper summarized here.

8 WAYS TO PROMOTE GENERATIVE LEARNING is from Inner Drive, as is WHAT IS GENERATIVE LEARNING?

Generative Learning: A Teacher’s Guide is from Structural Learning.
