A few years ago, Google eliminated a lot of the functionality of Feedburner, which (then) provided email subscriptions to blogs, along with RSS feeds.
It was pretty clear at that time that it was just a matter of time until Feedburner was shut down altogether. So, many blogs then stopped new subscribers from using their Feedburner RSS feed and, instead, offered alternatives. I did the same. However, since I never used Feedburner’s email subscription service, instead using Feedblitz, that wasn’t a problem.
Though Feedburner hasn’t been shut down, Google isn’t paying much attention to it and it’s not uncommon for Feedburner RSS subscriptions to stop working periodically.
That’s what has been happening to this blog’s Feedburner RSS feed.
Only about five percent of RSS subscribers use the Feedburner feed, but that’s still over 1,000 people.
So, after you see this post after Feedburner “unclogs” and catches-up with fifty or more posts, I’d recommend you re-subscribe using this feed or subscribe via email. You can see the email subscription box to the right of this post.
