The Object Of History

Posted at 6:54 am under Intermediate English, social studies, web 2.0, writing

The Object of History is a site created by the National Museum of American History.  It highlights several historical objects.  These include a short-handled hoe, a voting machine, and a gold nugget.  First, you see and learn about the object and its historical significance.

Then you can create a virtual museum exhibit about the object and post its url.  You can then put the link on a blog or online journal.

The language is accessible to Intermediate English Language Learners.

I’ve placed the link on my Examples of Student Work page under Student History Exhibits.
