Jamestown was founded 400 years ago this year, and there have been several new related activities created online.

The best one for English Language Learners is from National Geographic, Jamestown Adventure, which has both audio and text (and good visuals).  The History Channel also has the Jamestown Story.

You’ll find the “Jamestown Adventure” in the middle of the section Early Settlers of America on my Geography and United States History page.  On this page all links that have both audio and text are listed first in each section, and are written in italics.  This is why, even though this is a new link, you won’t find it at the bottom of the section.

The “Jamestown Story,” however, doesn’t have both audio and text, so you’ll find it at the bottom of the same category and not in italics.

I hope that explanation makes sense.
