I posted about The Simple Show Video Maker when it first came out, but have only now learned about its free classroom plan.

It uses Artificial Intelligence to help create animated videos, and the process if very scaffolded – ideal for English Language Learners.

As you can see from the above screenshot, it’s a very generous free classroom plan for teachers.

Once you enroll, it may take them a day or two to validate that you are an educator.  After that, here are the instructions for how you can get your students set-up (that part is not very intuitive):

If you click on your profile picture and then settings, there’ll be a bar along the left side with a number of icons. The one with two busts, “Team Overview” is the one you want. Click on that and there’ll be a section called “Team members,” with a blue button on the right side that says “Invite new team member(s)”. A new field will pop up where you can enter the email addresses of your students’ video maker accounts. They’ll get an automated email invitation and will be prompted to make their own accounts if they haven’t yet.

Their customer service is also very good.

Along with Adobe Express, Simple Show will be the other video maker I’ll be having my students use next year.
