Last week I posted about a huge new study on teaching students about a growth mindset (see RESULTS OF BIGGEST MINDSET STUDY FINDS POSITIVE IMPACT).
The Scientific American has published a report on the same study (see Debate Arises over Teaching “Growth Mindsets” to Motivate Students). It gives a nice overview of the results (see the text box at the top of this post).
However, it does a lot more than that.
The article provides an objective and expansive review of much of the research around a growth mindset, and it’s done in a way that’s very accessible to laypeople like myself.
I’m adding this info to The Best Resources On Helping Our Students Develop A “Growth Mindset.”
