In the current debate about assessment, formative assessment enables learners while testing (summative) used for political and government consumption. In what ways do you think students can be involved?
I am intersted in assessment as I am doing an essay for my teacher training course. I would like to explore what assessment is? i.e. contexualising it and identify the different types of assessments including-Formative assessment. I would like to know what is your idea in bringing to the debate the views and opinions of teachers in involving students in formative assessment?. How will you you ensure inclusion of students in formative assessment is not abused by politicians or interested group to promote their agendas not education of the individual?
