If you mean we are only interested in our stake in a particular situation, I think that has been true forever. However, if you mean that we value something to the extent that we can share it via technology, that is interesting. It seems to suggest that we would devalue experiences that can’t be video’ed or Tweeted — interpersonal or one-on-one experiences, for instance.
