Today, I began work on the third book in my “trilogy” on helping students develop intrinsic motivation. Unlike the first two books, though, I’m not writing this one in one summer. I’ve taken the sane route and will be working on it slowly, but surely, over the next year and anticipate having it completely done in twelve months. Then, it should be out by the end of 2013 or in the beginning of 2014.
In the meantime, though, you’ll still have plenty of info from my first two books in the series:

Plus, with a little luck, Education Week should have an Ebook out in the fall compiling some of the columns from my educator advice column there, and it will include new material, too.
I know what I’ll be reading this summer (your first two books)! As an educational consultant for teachers of ELLs, motivation is one of the top questions we get from teachers. Especially, from secondary teachers. Thank you!
I hope you find them useful, Melissa. Our ELL Teacher’s Survival Guide also includes motivation lessons specifically for ELLs.
