I have a number of regular weekly features (see HERE IS A LIST (WITH LINKS) OF ALL MY REGULAR WEEKLY FEATURES).
This is a relatively new addition to that list.
Some of these resources will be added to The Best Advice On Teaching K-12 Online (If We Have To Because Of The Coronavirus) – Please Make More Suggestions! and the best will go to The “Best Of The Best” Resources To Support Teachers Dealing With School Closures.
You can see all my “Best” lists related to school closures here, including the most recent one, The VERY BEST Resources To Support Teachers Dealing With School Closures In 2020 – Part Two.
Here are this week’s choices:
Effective Instructional Models for a Hybrid Schedule is from Edutopia.
50 Distance Learning Icebreakers & Games is from Vivify.
Zoom just finished Zoomtopia, where they unveiled some new features and teased a lot more in the future. The main immediate addition is what they are calling Zoom Apps. These are third-part tools that will now be embedded into Zoom (assuming one’s district allows them, I assume). You can see a list here. Kahoot is one of them:
My virtual teaching may be going relatively well. Nevertheless, this is the earliest ever in my teaching career that I have begun a countdown in my head “Only eight more months left to go….”
